Vancouver (canadaTECH.INFO) – April 1, 2009 - Medifocus Inc. (TSX-V: MFS) has appointed Grant Walsh to its board of directors.

Walsh is the managing partner and Chief Executive Officer of EC Murphy Walsh, a management consulting firm specializing in performance improvement in service, healthcare and health related organizations. Prior to establishing EC Murphy Walsh, Walsh was President and CEO of St. Peter's Health System in Ontario, a regional provider of integrated healthcare services. Previously, Walsh was EVP with ServiceMaster Management Services. Walsh is an Adjunct Professor in the Executive Education program at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University and has received from The DeGroote School of Business and the Conference Board of Canada the designation as a Chartered Director.

Walsh joins the Medifocus Board comprised of Dr. Augustine Cheung, Dr. Andy Lam and Joe K.F. Tai.
